Realize the Dream Shines Bright in Times Square

Realize the Dream, a bold initiative inspired by the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., arrived in New York City this MLK Day – via a captivating advertisement for the campaign that screened on the NASDAQ Tower in Times Square. The ad will reach as many as half a million visitors in this, one of the world’s busiest tourism and commercial spots.

Founded by the Martin Luther King III Foundation in partnership with Legacy+ in the belief that service fosters empathy, understanding and unity, Realize the Dream calls on individuals and communities to collectively complete 100 million hours of service by 2029 – the 100th anniversary of Dr. King’s birth. The campaign seeks to honor his enduring vision through acts of love, compassion and goodwill.

The ad space, generously donated by NASDAQ, highlights the transformative potential of service. Positioned in a high-visibility area, it underscores the campaign’s mission to rally people across the nation to do their part to make a difference.

Those inspired by the message can learn how to help Realize the Dream by picking up a copy of the new book What Is My Legacy? by authors Martin Luther King III, Arndrea Waters King, Marc Kielburger and Craig Kielburger – a call to action and a blueprint for creating a meaningful legacy.

Or, for a weekly dose of inspiration, they can tune in to the My Legacy podcast & syndicated radio show on iHeart Radio!

It’s a vivid reminder that Dr. King’s dream lives on, urging us to act with purpose so that we can come together to build stronger, more compassionate communities.
